I was going to just trash or freecycle this dresser. Then I felt inspired. It is narrower than the one oldest DS currently has in his room so I asked him if he wanted to trade and we could paint it. Initially I thought he would choose a more *mature* color and he did say he wanted navy. After we started looking at paint colors though, he chose this one.
We were even going to get new handles or just pain them a grey color or something but following my inspiration, I just knew this apple red would compliment it well and give it a bit of a retro feel. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Oldest LOVES it. Once he began to put the handles back on--he was in LOVE!
