Easy DIY Valentine (or any time) Photo Booth

1. Choose a space, a corner, back of a door, or wall.

2. Use glue dots to hang your back drop.

3. Fabric works well-adhere flat against wall or across a corner using the glue dots previously mentioned.

4. Gather props-use what you have. Here we used an old junk frame that I previously been painted gold. Grabbed a Valentine banner from the mantle, Valentine picks from the dollar store and heart shaped Christmas ornaments, that guests could use.

I arranged and put it all together in about 10 minutes tops!

We love color

Part of our Valentine gift giving included making heart shaped crayons.  I grabbed a few chocolate molds I've had in the garage *forever* & have never used. (not the best choice!) It sounded like a great idea at the time.

I placed the mold upon my stone cookie sheet, on a low temperature setting and baked until it all looked melted enough.  I'll spare you the photos showing the melted crayon spilling beyond the molds it was meant to stay IN.

I placed the mold in the freezer for a few minutes...or until I remembered.  They popped out easily once I took them out. By the third set (which I forgot to take a pic of) I used my silicone, heart shaped, mini-muffin pan (is it a pan?). NO risk of being in the oven--but I don't think I'll ever be able to use it for food again--so it's a risky trade off.

For future reference, I think using a candy mold is  a great idea if it isn't going in the oven.  Mine survived but I watched them very closely, but they seemed to warp a bit when they got warm. However, if it was middle of summer, I think you could put the crayons in the molds and simply set them in the sun and have beautifully shaped crayons in no time without risking the integrity of the mold.

Simply click on the graphic above.  When it opens in a new page, right click to save to your computer.  From there you can print directly from your computer.
Link back and show me what you did with it!
And of course, let me know if you have any problems. ;-)

I printed it on an index card and then framed it in a frame I purchased from the "after-Valentine's-clearance" a few years ago.

Inspired by...

There are so many talented & crafty gals out there in blogland.  They also love to SHARE their ideas. Recently i came across this freebie, a sweet printable.  Well, my home's main decorating color is red--which goes right along with my love of all things Valentine!

I found some old thrifted frames in my "linen closet"--I have NO idea why they were in there.  They had patriotic designs on them.  I got them back when I was designing my middles room in patriotic colors but I never used them.  My daughter claimed one but I went to work on the other one.

It is much smaller than the link above uses.  I adjusted my print preview to %60 to try and make it fit better to the frame I had on hand. I cut out the center to place *inside* the frame, under the glass.  I could have adjusted it smaller, I think but I finagled it to work well enough.  I had to cut the "frame" portion of the design apart but it's ok.

Nope, it's not a smudge on your screen or on the glass of the frame..(upper right corner above "always")..one of my darlings stepped on the paper as I was on the floor cutting out the rest. {sigh} I couldn't get the dirt off & don't feel like wasting the ink to reprint a full 'nother one.

OTHERWISE, it looks pretty cute doesn't it?
